Staying safe at Communitea during Covid-19
We are taking extra precautions to keep our guests and staff safe during the COVID-19 public health emergency. Here's what we are doing:
We have increased our sanitation efforts and continue to follow CDC, NYS and industry recommendations and guidelines.
- Our HVAC system has been inspected and upgraded to Merv13 filters.
There are protective barriers in front of the counter and a plexiglass screen at the register.
Hand sanitizer is located at the counter, front and back doors, and customer bathroom.
We are limiting the number of guests inside, and there are decals and marked lines to guide 6 ft social distancing.
As always, we offer contactless payment and provide sterilized stylus for use on the iPad.
Please note: some of the self-serve items such as creamers, liquid sweeteners, water, and condiments have been removed to limit contact. However they are still available if you ask at the front counter.
Our staff are people, so we ask that you wear your mask at all times inside the cafe and when being served at your table. Delivery is available through: UberEats, Postmates, Grubhub/Seamless, and DoorDash or, as always, you may call ahead for pick-up orders at 718-729-7708.
Presently, we are not seating indoors. Guests may dine on our new covered backyard patio, as well as on the sidewalk. Seating is limited so we ask that you be mindful of the length of your stay.
Please follow these mandated requirements to keep our staff and other guests safe and feeling secure:
Guests must stay seated.
Please wear your mask when exiting the patio or when making way to/from the restroom.
Keep tables in place at 6 ft socially distanced.
You may leave your dishes and glasses on the table. We will clear and sanitize
the tables, chairs and any condiments that were brought out to you.
